It has been a long lockdown for us. We played our first public performance in over a year with our new guitarist. We are a little rusty after a long lockdown that prevented us from rehearing. However we are working hard at present to be ready to play a lot more concerts in the near future.

We were able to fit in two short performances while larger gatherings remained prohibited. Check out our videos below. Congratulations to our former band member Sebastian on his marriage.
Reflecting back over the weekend, we were delighted to participate in a joint concert with the Infamous Las Lodolas in the Zuoz Globe on the evening of 25th and the 26th January. Both bands performed a short individual set, each of around 30-40 minutes. The performances were concluded with a joint performance of The Oul Triangle, Johnny I hardly knew you and Dorma Bain. The joint songs proved very popular with the audiences on both nights.
We had a lot of fun performing together with Las Lodolas "The Boy Band of the Engadine" and we hope to do so again in the future. Grazia fich! https://www.lodolas.ch/ A special thanks to our friends Prefix for a great night at the Zuoz Globe, where we made a joint performance. Read the story below from the Engadiner Post.
Rehearsals are underway as the Alpine Rovers prepare for a new round of performances in May and June. We are expanding our repertoire to include several new songs and we look forward to performing them for you in the upcoming weeks.
Last night The Alpine Rovers returned to the Dorta Restaurant in Zuoz to perform in a special Irish night hosted there along with great Irish food and a great crowd.
The Rovers performed three sets in the main restaurant to a full house of guests. Afterwards over a few beers The Rovers performed a more informal traditional Irish session in the bar. Many thanks for those who attended. A great night was had by all. We are very touched to have received this wonderful review of our recent performance in the Dorta, printed in the Engadina Post. A wonderful endorsement. Go raibh maith agaibh a cairde (Dear Friends, thank you).
As we say goodbye to the warm evenings and prepare for the snow. We reflected back on some great venues over the summer in the Engadine with lots of live music sessions. Here is a video which captures a great afternoon at Mulligan's Bar in Zuoz. Video credit goes to: P. Steger |
